Many people like to go to Beaver Lake. Hiking along the O'Neil Creek Flowage Trail is delightful fun; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Christie Mountain is rather near. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the brilliant whitewater of Duncan Creek, and Glen Loch Motel is a perfect spot to get some rest. Camping at Rock Lake Resort and Campground is always a glorious experience, and you get a fine view of Pikes Peak from here.

The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Beaver Lake dip into the-10's. Beaver Lake is not the only place nearby, Calkins North Lake is a nearby lake, and you can have a splendid hiking adventure along the Hickory Ridge Trail. Here at Beaver Lake there are plenty of folks from Eau Claire, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Deer Fly Trail. This lake is so
wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Country Inn By Carlson Chippewa Falls. That right there is a heap already, but it carries on; Beaver Lake has it all. Camping is available at Northshore Bar and Campground, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Chippewa River.
