The beauty of Bear Lake attracts many people from all around. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Bear Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Bear Lake Campground is a great place for that, and there are some tremendous whitewater spots on Peshtigo River. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore close by Little Cub Lake, and if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the Eds Lake Trail System.

| | If only every place had this much outdoors entertaining things, what a great world it would be. Going for a hike along the Popple Ridge Snowmobile Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and Bear Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Burnt Bridge Campground is a delightful local campground.

rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Crandon Inn & Suites. Hiking along the Dendro Eco Trail is magnificent fun, and let's not forget Bear Creek which is a stream that you may
run into while you're here.
This is a magnificent area for people who like lakes. Big Cub Lake is a lake in close proximity, and Best Western Lakewood Lodge is a nice location to get some rest. Summertime highs at Bear Lake mostly
tend to be in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Bear Lake drop into the-10's.

...de so humorously refered to the capsize. Unfortunatly the one was me! Believe me, the rest of the family brought that instance up more than once around that evening's campfire. After another hot shower, a meal and campfire beneath the stars, the wife and I slipped off for a couple cocktails at the bar located within the resorts campus. Much to our surprise we saw ourselfs running First drop upon the bar television. Seems that one of the larger groups who were along on our noon trip had requested a video of their exploits be filmed. Now the whole world had proof of my paddling prowess. The next morning we packed our tent in the rain in preperation of driving home. As we checked out to leave the resort we discovered a bus load of patrons heading for the Menominee River. Thornton's also service this Big Water gem which flows out of Niagara Wi. And on down through the class IV water of the fabled Pier's Gorge. Suddenly we all wished we had more time. Oh well maybe next trip......

Boulder Lake Lodge Resort is 80 acres located in the Nicolet National Forest on spring fed Boulder Lake. The national forest forms the property line to the north and Boulder Lake is the property line on the south. We have every outdoor sport you can think of from motorized water sports to snowmobiling. There is fishing, hiking, snowshoeing and hunting in the adjecent national forest. At the end of the days activity or just for a mid-afternoon drink, you can stop by for a cold one and some good conversation at the Lodge. The Lodge is a central gathering point with a full liquor licence. Our RV sites are being upgraded all the time. We installed a new dump station in 2005. There are 20 sites with electric only.
