Bear Lake is a nice lake to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on St. Croix River is so much fun; Black River has a perfect whitewater paddling spot close by. At Bear Lake through the summer highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 10's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Bear Lake. Bear Lake is a glorious place to camp, Amnicon Acres Campground is a glorious place,

| | and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Superior, Wi is a good place to get some rest. Stay the night at Gordon Flowage Campground, and if you need a spot to stay Superior Super 8 Motel is a good choice. The yearly rain here at Bear Lake is about average; September is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is February.
