Bean Lake is a good location of normal precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Namekagon River, and Northern Pine Inn is a wonderful site to get some rest. Namekagon River
 | This river has nearly 70 miles of river that can be paddled. It goes all the way from the Hayward landing to the Riverside landing after it joins the St Croix River. This river could easily be made into a 3-4 night paddle. It has quite a few canoe campsites and also access to freshwater at several landings. Please see the following links for more information. www.logcabin-resort.com/haytrgo2.pdf AND www.logcabin-resort.com/trgorvr2.pdf... |
Totogatic River
 | Water levels must be high to do the Upper Totogatic. Otherwise you'll be dragging your canoe over rocks. But it's very wild and remote. There are also old copper mines along the river if you know where to look. Also beware that the area was sacred to the spirit Wanabuju! http://www.atthecreation.com/TOGATIG/TOGA.html... |
Bodins Lake
