Do stop by Bass Lakes while you're in this part of Wisconsin. Whitewater paddling is great on Chippewa River, and a beautiful lake like Barr Lake is a good spot to stop at. There is a great hiking trail next to Bass Lakes called the Hickory Ridge Trail; a good nearby hotel is Glen Loch Motel. | | in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Bass Lakes are in the-10's. From a rainfall point of view Bass Lakes is a relatively common spot; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily September, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Duncan Creek is so much fun; if you need a site to stay Paradise Shores Resort Hotel is a magnificent choice. stuff, what a great planet it would be. Lots of folks from Eau Claire come to Bass Lakes, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Deer Fly Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Bass Lakes is splendid enough to spend more
than a day at, Brunet Island State Park is a splendid local campground, and on a brilliant day you can take a hike along the Hay Meadow Trail. If you came to camp Rock Lake Resort and Campground is a fine place to do that, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Christie Mountain.
