Flambeau River - South Fork is a fine whitewater spot close to Bass Lake, and do put some time aside to spend at Jackson Springs while you're here at Bass Lake. Bass Lake is a good place of normal precipitation; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at       Bass Lake, you could also check out delightful Cat Lake, and camping at Bass Lake is splendid fun, Archer's Trucking is a splendid local campground. For the period of the summer at Bass Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Bass Lake. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Phillips is a great                  spot to spend a night or two, and obviously Beaver Creek flows through this area.
