Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Flambeau River - South Fork, and if you came for an overnight stay Butternut Lake Campground is a great place to camp. The amount of rainfall that falls at Bass Lake is close to the national average; the wettest month of the year is generally August, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is February. If you need a place to       stay Super 8 Motel - Phillips is a brilliant choice; Soo Lake Resort is a great campground here. This place, Bass Lake, it absolutely has so much outdoors cool stuff. Through the warmest time of the year here at Bass Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's, and the nighttime is a bit colder of course, usually in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Bass Lake. If                  you come at the right time of year, Chippewa River - East Fork offers some nice whitewater, and tremendous hiking is available along the Great Divide Snowmobile Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
