If you need a site to stay Americas Best Value Inn / Rhinelander is a perfect choice, and there are some tremendous whitewater spots on Wisconsin River. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Granite Peak, and you're perhaps addicted to lakes, Lake Doris is one of those nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Bass Lake is not far at all from Merrill, and there's whitewater on Prairie River for all you adrenaline kick people. Summertime brings highs

| | in the 70's to Bass Lake. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 10's while Bass Lake nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the-10's. Quality Inn Rhinelander is a nice site to get some rest, and the Bearskin State Park Trail offers hiking at its best. Just can't get enough of Bass Lake. had enough of Bass Lake, Lake Clara is nearby. The yearly rain here at Bass Lake is about average; during the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
You can spot Harrison Hills from Bass Lake. The gorgeous Harrison Hills is here at Bass Lake. There's so much to do here at Bass Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Northforest Campgrounds is a good location for that.

Some buddies and I go up for a few days every winter and I have to say, this is the best you're going to find without doubling your driving time or hopping on an airplane.... i have lived and snowboarded in Colorado and Austria. For the Midwest only Lutsen in Minn. can be compared! The vertical keeps you challenged unlike the resorts in the U.P. and the rest of the Midwest!
