A visit to Bass Lake is always a good idea. What would winter be without some skiing at Big Powderhorn Mountain; Big 6 RV Resort and Campground is a perfect local campground. And if that's not sufficient, there's heaps more to do close to Bass Lake. If you come at the right time of year, Turtle River offers some good whitewater; the Newman Springs Ski Trail is a perfect hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something near Bass Lake? Lake Barbara is close at hand, and if you need a place to stay Americinn - Ironwood, Mi is a nice choice. This lake is so wonderful. Very pretty scenery and brilliant skiing is what you get at Blackjack, and do have a look at South Fork Black River if you're here at Bass Lake. Just can't get enough of the Gogebic Range. You're perhaps keen on lakes, American Lake is one of those close by; Double E Resort | |

is a fine campground nearby.
And if that's not sufficient there's lots more fun things to do in the Gogebic Range. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Black River, and on a glorious day
you can take a hike along the Rainbow Falls Trail. Bass Lake gets a normal amount of annual rainfall; June is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Summertime highs at Bass Lake mostly tend to
be in the 70's, and the night is a tad colder of course, regularly in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 10's with temperatures at Bass Lake dipping down into the-10's all through winter nights.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Gogebic Range.
