The beauty of Bass Lake attracts many people from all around. A typical amount of precipitation falls here at Bass Lake; the month with most of the rain is August, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Through the warmest time of the year at Bass Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's. Summer night lows drop down to the 50's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Going for a hike on the Deer Fly Trail is always a great adventure; a pretty lake like Axhandle Lake is a magnificent place to pop by. Bass Lake is not far at all from Eau Claire, and Bass Lake is a great location to camp, Loon Lake Camp Grounds is a great location. If you come at the right time of year, Duncan Creek offers some wonderful whitewater, and the O'Neil Creek Flowage Trail is a brilliant hiking trail close by. This lake is so wonderful.
Near Bass Lake you discover the Hickory Ridge Trail which is a good hiking trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Bass Lake has to offer, you can camp at Kamp Sugarrbush Bar and Campgrnd. Really pleasant skiing awaits
you at Christie Mountain; after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Chetek is a tremendous place to spend a night or two.
