Summertime at Bass Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the wintertime highs are frequently in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Bass Lake temperatures descend to the-10's. There are other places here than Bass Lake, for example Picnic       Lake, and whitewater paddling is splendid on Chippewa River. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff close to Bass Lake. Take a hike on the Hay Meadow Trail, and get soaked paddling on Duncan Creek. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Christie Mountain, and camping is available at Ward's Flambeau Resort. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Moonridge Trail is magnificent fun, and Americinn - Ladysmith, Wi is a perfect spot to get some rest.                  From Bass Lake you get a splendid vista of Baldy Mountain; during your tour here you'll meet some folks from Eau Claire for sure. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Bass Lake, you'll stumble on Big Twin Lake which is a gorgeous lake, and a pleasant place to camp here at Bass Lake is Brunet Island State Park.
