Why not stop by Bass Lake if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is delightful, you get a good panorama of Baldy Mountain from Bass Lake, and if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the Hay Meadow Trail. If you came for an overnight stay Brunet Island State Park is a nice site to camp; you can never get enough of the good skiing at Christie Mountain. At Bass Lake you always meet someone from Eau Claire, and paddling on Chippewa
River is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. A great nearby hotel is Americinn - Ladysmith, Wi. Through the months of summer at Bass Lake highs are typically in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the-10's for Bass Lake.
