Little Yellow Lake is a magnificent lake near Bass Lake, and there's nice hiking along the Markville Snowmobile Trail. The Minnesota-Wisconsin       Boundary State Trail offers hiking at its best. Float down the rapids of Lower Tamarack River in a kayak, and camping is available at Sioux Portage Campground. If you come at the right time of year, Upper Tamarack River offers some good whitewater, and camping at Stuart's Leisure Acres Resorts is always a nice experience.
