Indian Creek is a glorious local stream; Lower Tamarack River is a brilliant whitewater spot nearby. Camping at Wagner's Port Sand Resort is always a glorious experience, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Northwoods Lodge is a great location to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Camping       is available at Winberg's Resort and Campground, and not far from Bass Lake you'll find Twin Lakes which is a stunning lake. Bass Lake gets a normal amount of yearly precipitation; the wettest month of the year is frequently August, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is February. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! Bass Lake is excellent! Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by North Twin Lake, and                  Lodge at Crooked Lake is a delightful location to get some rest. For the period of the warm months here at Bass Lake, high temperatures mostly get into the 80's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
