If you love the outdoors, you'll love Bass Lake. Lakes? Sure, Atkins Lake is nearby, and camping at Bass Lake is great fun, Lake Namakagon Campgrounds is a great local campground. At Bass Lake during the long summer days highs are in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 10's; nighttime lows in the-10's for Bass Lake. Boulder       Lodge Resort is a great campground here, and a fine nearby hotel is North Haven Country Cottage. The Gogebic Range scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. On a great day at Bass Lake you can take a hike along the North Country Trail, and if you're a golfer then a glorious close by course is Lakewoods Resort & Golf Forest Ridges Golf Course. Just can't get enough of the Gogebic Range. Going for a hike on the Virgin Pine Trail is always a good                  adventure, and Marengo River is a great whitewater spot close by. After a long day outdoors Junek's Bay Cabins is a nice place to spend a night or two, and there is a perfect hiking trail close by called the Rock Lake National Recreation Trail. And if that's not enough there's plenty more amusing things to do in the Gogebic Range. If you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Marengo River.
