The beauty of Barr Lake is reason enough to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something in the vicinity of Barr Lake? Beecher Lake is close by, and if you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Marinette. This is no site for people who don’t like to have fun. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Pike River, naturally you could also pop by Upper Lake if you're here; it's not far at all.

| | Lake during the summer months highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's while Barr Lake overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. If you need a spot to stay Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Iron Mountain, MI is a great choice, and it's a nice idea to go to Beecher Creek. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Pike River - South Branch offers some great whitewater, and Iron Mountain-Days Inn is a magnificent place to get some rest. What would winter be without some skiing
at Norway Mountain; Amberg Campgrounds and Bar is a great campground nearby. The amount of rain that falls at Barr Lake is close to the national average; the wettest month of the year is typically September, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is February.

This camp ground is the best I travel 346 mi or 6 hours to enjoy it. Unfortamatly not this year =[...i like camping alot and this is one of the better places I have gone because you can do alot to entertain yourself and theres always good fishing on the lakes so I highly reccomend this campground to anyone that wants to have a good time and lots of fun....This is a nice campground but there are alot of seasonal sites that fill the park...this is a nice camping spoy with plenty of attractions you wont be disappointed... |
