Amberg Campgrounds and Bar is a good campground nearby, and after a long day outdoors Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Iron Mountain, MI is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do near Barr Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Iron Mountain-Days Inn, and Barr Lake is not far at all from Marinette. Gotta ski! Norway Mountain is a great spot to do that; a great spot       for whitewater paddling is Pike River - South Branch. The amount of rain that falls at Barr Lake is close to the national average; most of the rain falls during September, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Pike River is a glorious whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Barr Lake; getting to Beecher Creek from Barr Lake is trouble-free. This lake is so wonderful. Barr Lake is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Tranquil Vista Campgrounds                  is a perfect place to camp nearby; a tour to Barr Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Chipmunk Rapids. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Barr Lake. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's.
