If you like lakes and you're in this part of Wisconsin you can check out Barnes Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Tars Creek is a lovely stream that is worth stopping at, and if you came to camp Nelson Lake Lodge is a good place to do that. There's so much to do here at Barnes Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sunrise Bay Campground is a great spot for that, and Northern Pine Inn is a splendid site to get some rest. There is a good hiking trail in the neighborhood of Barnes Lake called the Pigeon Lake Trail, and if you need a site to stay Hummingbird Haven is a delightful choice. most of the rain is August; the driest month is February. For the duration of the summer months at Barnes Lake highs are frequently in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 10's; through the dark hours in the winter at Barnes Lake temperatures fall to the-10's.
