You'll need more than a day to explore everything Barber Pond has to offer, you can camp at Fox River Recreation. Barber Pond gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Benet Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and going for a hike       on the Volo Bog Interpretive Trail is always a great adventure. Wilmot mountain is a nice local ski area, and Lake Shangri La Dam is a stunning spot. For the duration of the months of summer highs here at Barber Pond reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Barber Pond temperatures sink to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. For you                  golfers we recommend nearby Spring Valley Country Club, and there is a splendid hiking trail close by called the Tamarack View Trail. There's whitewater on Pike River for all you thrill seekers; there are perfect sites to discover along the Lake Defiance Nature Trail. The slopes of Raging Buffalo Snowboard Park (Snowboarding only - no skiing) are so inviting nobody can resist. Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Barber Pond. Get your heart pumping on the wonderful whitewater of Root River; after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites is a fine place to spend a night or two.
