A visit to Balsam Lake is always a good idea. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites St. Croix Valley, Wi is a fine place to spend a night or two; there are some nice whitewater spots on St. Croix River. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Wild Mountain is in the vicinity of Balsam Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Apple River. This is no location for people who don’t like to have a good time. Upper Balsam Lake WP92 Dam has great water scenery and it's near Balsam Lake, and you can stay the night at Pine Grove Resort. The yearly rainfall here at Balsam Lake is about average; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily June, that's the one that rains the most,
and February is when it's the driest. Throughout the months of summer at Balsam Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. All through the wintertime the
highs are typically in the 10's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Balsam Lake temperatures plunge to the-10's.
This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Balsam Lake has to offer, you can camp at Apple River Campgrounds North, and a glorious nearby hotel is Luck Country Inn.
