Just getting warmed up. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Totogatic River. Summertime at Baker Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Baker Lake dipping down into the-10's through       winter nights. The amount of rain that falls at Baker Lake is close to the national average; August is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Don't leave Baker Lake without first paying a visit to Westenberg Spring, and a tremendous close by hotel is Best Western American Heritage Inn. After a long day outdoors Microtel Rice Lake is a delightful place to spend a night or two, and you can stay                  the night at Leesome Pine Campgrounds. This lake is so wonderful. There are some good whitewater spots on Namekagon River, and for you golfers we recommend close by Butternut Hills Golf Course & Golf Learning Center. This is a pleasant neighborhood for folks who like lakes.
