There's so much to do here at Back Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Amberg Campgrounds and Bar is a delightful spot for that; if you need a site to stay Americas Best Inns-Iron Mountain is a pleasant choice. Lots of folks from Iron Mountain come to Back Lake, and get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Pemebonwon - South Branch. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Back Lake with nighttime lows in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in

Back Lake is a good place of normal rainfall; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. If only every place had this much outdoors exciting things, what a great world it would be. This is a perfect area for people who like lakes. Lundgren Lake is a lake close by. Lakes are nice; Lindquist Lake is a lake that's close to Back Lake. | |

This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Pike River - North Branch; dry warm beds await you at Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Iron Mountain, MI. Stay the night at Tranquil Vista Campgrounds, and Norway Mountain has nice slopes and a friendly staff.

Shakey Lakes Park
 | 18 miles away This camp ground is the best I travel 346 mi or 6 hours to enjoy it. Unfortamatly not this year =[...i like camping alot and this is one of the better places I have gone because you can do alot to entertain yourself and theres always good fishing on the lakes so I highly reccomend this campground to anyone that wants to have a good time and lots of fun....This is a nice campground but there are alot of seasonal sites that fill the park...this is a nice camping spoy with plenty of attractions you wont be disappointed... |
