Axhandle Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Now, you may believe that's a heap but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Axhandle Lake. Go for a hike on the O'Neil Creek Flowage Trail; the slopes of Christie Mountain are so inviting noone can resist. You'll meet a lot of folks from Eau Claire here, and if you come at the right time of year, Duncan Creek offers some great whitewater. This lake is so wonderful.

| | An average amount of precipitation falls at Axhandle Lake; the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the most while February is regularly the driest month. There's wonderful hiking along the Deer Fly Trail; a good nearby hotel is Super 8 Motel - Chetek. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Hickory Ridge Trail, and there are some fine whitewater spots on Chippewa River.

fun, Loon Lake Camp Grounds is a good local campground; Glen Loch Motel is a fine place to get some rest. Axhandle Lake is a brilliant site to camp, Kamp Sugarrbush Bar and Campgrnd is a brilliant site, as expected you could also
check out Atwood Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Axhandle Lake. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's; nighttime lows during the winter for Axhandle Lake tend to be in the-10's.
