At Axels Lake through the summer months highs are in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 10's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Axels Lake. Priest Creek is a great site to visit, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Axels Lake; Newman Springs Ski Trail is a nice local trail. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid place to camp here at Axels Lake       is Roll-in-point, and Flambeau River - South Fork has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot nearby. Camping is available at Comfort Cove Resort, and dry warm beds await you at Park Falls Super 8 Motel. Axels Lake gets a common amount of annual rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. So much exciting stuff to do at Axels Lake, so little time.
