Austin Lake is a splendid site to camp, Devils Lake Park Resort is a splendid site, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Markville Snowmobile Trail. The amount of rain that falls at Austin Lake is close to the national average; the wettest month of the year is typically       August, that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the months is February. Paddling on Upper Tamarack River is so much fun, and dry warm beds await you at Lodge At Crooked Lake. So much amusing stuff to do at Austin Lake, so little time. Drift down the rapids of Lower Tamarack River in a kayak. All through the summertime months here at Austin Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.                  All through the winter highs are mostly in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Austin Lake are in the-10's.
