Atkins Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Hiles-pine Lake Campground is a good place to camp nearby; not far from Atkins Lake you'll locate Coyote Creek Impoundment which is a striking lake. Throughout the long summer days, highs regularly are in the 70's at Atkins Lake. Summer nighttime lows plunge       down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Atkins Lake tend to be in the-10's.
