If you come at the right time of year, Wisconsin River offers some magnificent whitewater, and after a long day outdoors Black Bear Lodge is a splendid place to spend a night or two. Tamarack Timbers Cottages is a glorious spot to get some rest, and if you get bored of Aspen Lake you could also go to close by Camp Ten Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Aspen Lake       has to offer, you can camp at Hunter Lake Paradise Campground, and don't forget to take a good little journey to Pine Creek. That right there is a heap already, but it carries on; Aspen Lake has it all. An average amount of rainfall falls at Aspen Lake; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest of the months is February. For the period of the months of summer here at Aspen Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 70's, and all through the night                  it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 10's; overnight lows at Aspen Lake through the winter mostly fall into the-10's.
