Don't leave Aspen Lake without first going for a hike along the Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail, and glide down the rapids of St. Croix River in a kayak. Aspen Lake is a pleasant site to camp, Pine Grove Resort is a pleasant site, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Wild Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Black Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to; why not check out Bohn Dam if you're here. There's glorious       hiking along the Markville Snowmobile Trail, and paddling on Lower Tamarack River is so much fun. If you need a place to stay Best Western Northwoods Lodge is a good choice, and a golf course nearby is Frederic Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. If time allows, Saint Croix National Scenic River is a national park worth going to, and the slopes of Trollhaugen are so inviting noone can resist. Throughout the summertime months, highs frequently are in the                  80's at Aspen Lake with overnight lows in the 50's. Through the wintertime highs are mostly in the 10's, and overnight lows in the-10's for Aspen Lake. And that's not all you can do here at Aspen Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Luck Country Inn, and camping at Aspen Lake is perfect fun, Birchwood Beach Campgrounds is a perfect local campground.
