Near Ashegon Lake you locate the Tuscobia Park Falls State Trail which is a perfect hiking trail, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Eddy Creek Spring. Christie Mountain has tremendous slopes and a friendly staff, and Comfort Suites Hayward is a fine spot to get some rest. While you're here at Ashegon Lake, you could also check out charming Devils Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Flat Creek Inn and Suites. This lake is so wonderful. Blueberry

| | Campground is a good campground nearby, and glide down the rapids of Chippewa River in a kayak. Ashegon Lake gets a normal amount of annual rainfall; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. If you adore the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Ashegon Lake. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Chippewa River - West Fork, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Hardwood Trail. | |

Through the summer at Ashegon Lake temperatures are regularly in the 80's while night lows are generally in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while Ashegon Lake night low temperatures through the winter
are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Do stop by Pike Lake close to Ashegon Lake, it's a striking lake. On a perfect day at Ashegon Lake you can take a hike along the Serley Camp Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Hayward Koa Kampground is a good spot to camp.

Tuscobia Park Falls State Trail
 | 17 miles away 1 PHOTO The trail is called the Tuscobia State Trail. It runs 74 miles from Rice Lake to Park Falls, Wisconsin. The Trail crosses through Barron, Sawyer and Price Counties. This is a multi-use trail on the old railroad grade of the Omaha Railroad. There are lots of things to do and places to stop along the trail. There is now camping available at several points along the trail including Radisson, and Ojibwa. At Winter, the last remaining railroad depot, built in 1905, will be historically restored outside and inside, it will house a visitor center, there will be trailhead parking, historical displays, and picnic areas. The restoration is slated for completion in 2011. ... |
