My aunt and uncle, Della and Deac Vilutis, owned the resort in the 50's and early 60's. I have many memories if my dad and I fishing on all those lakes. It was truly a beautiful area to grow up in.

The lake is spring fed and is connected to Horsehead lake via river and also to North Crab lake and Crab lake. Walleye, large mouth bass, Muskellunge, Northern Pike and sunfish are native to this lake. The lake is 355 acres which host Bill's Island, a public campground that is accessable via boat/canoe. There is one state owned access to this lake on the north side. Many years ago, Armour Lake Resort had been built by my great, great uncle and then owned in the early 40's by my parents who are now both deceased. The resort has since been purchased as a private residence. As a child growing up we have some wonderful memories about this beautiful, spring fed lake. I miss it.

Armour Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. For the duration of the summer months at Armour Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 10's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Armour Lake temperatures fall to the-10's. Nearby lakes? Sure, Little Horsehead Lake is close to Armour Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Alligator

| | Eye Trail. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Gogebic Range. Indianhead has glorious slopes and a friendly staff, and Comfort Inn Minocqua is a pleasant spot to get some rest.
This place, the Gogebic Range, has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. This is a great vicinity for folks who like lakes. Mermaid Lake is a lake close by, and soar down the rapids of Presque Isle in a kayak. Armour Lake gets a normal amount | |

of rain; August is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is February.
This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Planter Creek offers some wonderful whitewater, and after a long day outdoors
Best Western Concord Inn is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. All the outdoors exciting stuff near Armour Lake will keep you coming back persistently. A wonderful place to camp here at Armour Lake is Birch Lake Resort and
Campground, and why not camp at Presque Isle Campground if you're here at Armour Lake. Armour Lake is one of the lakes here in the Gogebic Range.
