If you are in Vilas county it's always a good idea to stop by Apeekwa Lake. Summertime highs at Apeekwa Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Apeekwa Lake. After a long day outdoors New Concord Inn is a nice place to spend a night or two; hiking is a popular thing to do around Apeekwa Lake; Newman Springs Ski Trail is a good

A good close by hotel is Americinn - Minocqua, Wi, and Turtle River is a great whitewater spot nearby. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff at Apeekwa Lake.
