The amount of precipitation that falls at Anvil Lake is close to the national average; most of the rain falls during August while February is commonly the driest month. High temperatures at Anvil Lake all through the warmest time of the year are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. The winter       brings highs down to the 10's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Anvil Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Anvil Lake; Anvil Lake Trail System is a great local trail. Not far from Anvil Lake, you'll come across Upper Nunemile Lake which is a charming lake, and Anvil Lake is right by the Kimball Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Anvil Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Anvil Lake Campground is a perfect place for that.
