The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Spirit Mountain, and Dowling Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out. For the period of the warmest time of the year here at Amnicon Lake, high temperatures frequently get into the 70's while       night lows are typically in the 50's. Through the winter the highs are regularly in the 10's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Amnicon Lake. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Amnicon River. There's so much to do here at Amnicon Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Amnicon Acres Campground is a good location for that. If only every location had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great planet it would be. Get dripping wet paddling                  on Black River; Amnicon Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Northland Camping and RV Park is a good local campground. A great close by hotel is Barkers Island Inn and Conference Center, and a lake close by is Mud Lake.
