Why not camp at Mel's woods Resort if you're here at Lake Alva, and there are other sites here than Lake Alva, for example Partridge Lake. All through the summertime months at Lake Alva highs are typically in the 70's while night lows are mostly in the 50's. The wintertime comes with       highs in the 10's while Lake Alva night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the-10's. An average amount of rainfall falls at Lake Alva; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is February. Ballard Lake is a good lake right next door to Lake Alva, and Black Bear Lodge is a good place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then                  we recommend Ontonagon River, and don't leave Lake Alva without first going for a hike along the Alligator Eye Trail. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Lake Alva.
