There's so much to do here at Alder Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Merry Mac's Camp'n is a great site for that, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore close by Fish Lake. During the long summer days, highs commonly are in the       80's at Alder Pond. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Alder Pond temperatures fall to the 0's. So many cool things near Alder Pond, absolutely striking. Soar down the rapids of Baraboo River in a kayak, and do take a hike on the Grottos Trail.
