Alder Pond is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious place to camp here at Alder Pond is Merry Mac's Campground, and there are other sites here than Alder Pond, for example Lantz Pond. From a rainfall point of view Alder Pond is a rather typical location; August is the wettest month with most rain while February is generally the driest month. You completely ought to like Alder Pond. The skiing at Devils Head is wonderful; you can go

Don't leave Alder Pond without first going for a hike along the East Bluff Woods Trail. Lakes? Sure, Crystal Lake is nearby. High temperatures at Alder Pond all through the warm months are in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Glide down the rapids of Baraboo River in a kayak; if you need a site to stay Clarion Hotel Baraboo is a delightful choice. Camping at Crystal Lake Campground is always a glorious experience;
there's fine hiking along the East Bluff Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Cedarberry Inn is a great location to spend a night or two, and paddling on Wisconsin River is so much fun.
