     Nearby lakes? Sure, Lone Pine Lake is in the neighborhood of Alabama Lake, and if time allows, Saint Croix National Scenic River is a national park worth taking a look at. If you came to camp James N Mcnally Campground is a great place to do that, and Wild Mountain has delightful slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Sunrise Ferry Hiking Trail is glorious fun, and some of the water close by flows, like Butternut Creek. This  
   lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region.
Trollhaugen is a very popular ski area nearby, and if you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites ST. CROIX VALLEY is a wonderful choice. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Alabama Lake. After a long day outdoors Luck Country Inn is a fine site to spend a night
 
               or two, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend St. Croix River. You could also check out Tarbert Lake if you're here at Alabama Lake; it's close by. There's so much to do here at Alabama Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Birchwood Beach Campgrounds is a tremendous location for that.
From a precipitation point of view Alabama Lake is a relatively normal site; the month with most of the rain is June; February meanwhile is the driest month. High temperatures at Alabama Lake during the summertime are in the 80's, and the nighttime is a bit cooler of course, regularly in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 10's with temperatures at Alabama Lake dipping down into the-10's during winter nights.
