Camping at Spectacle Lake Campground is always a good experience. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Afterglow Lake; throughout August this area sees the most rain while February is commonly the driest month. Now, you may imagine that's heaps but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Afterglow Lake. If you need a place to stay Settle Inn & Stes Eagle       River is a great choice, and there is a magnificent hiking trail close by called the Kimball Creek Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Afterglow Lake with overnight lows in the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 10's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Afterglow Lake drop into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Big                  Sand Lake Golf Course, and why not go to nearby Lobischer Creek if you're here at Afterglow Lake. Why not stop at Slaughter Bay also if you're here, and after a long day outdoors Wild Eagle Lodge is a delightful location to spend a night or two. At Afterglow Lake you can see Military Hill, and not far from Afterglow Lake you'll stumble on Noseeum Lake which is a delightful lake. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Ontonagon River - Middle Branch, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Kentuck-Spectacle Lake Trail.
