2 Reservoir is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. A day on the slopes of Granite Peak is just what you need. There's so much to do here at 2 Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Birkensee Resort is a splendid place for that. This lake is so wonderful. 2 Reservoir gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; through August this area sees the most rain while February is commonly the driest month. For the period of the warmest time of the year at 2 Reservoir temperatures are usually in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 10's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for 2 Reservoir tend to be in the-10's. | |

Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Prairie River, and there are other places here than 2 Reservoir, for example Gerbick Lake.
In the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater
paddling on Wisconsin River; lakes are such calm sites, why not pop by Lost Lake. This is no location for people who don’t like to have a good time. During your visit to 2 Reservoir you'll meet some folks from Merrill for sure; a
pleasant nearby hotel is Best Western Lake-Aire Motel & Resort. Looking for some flowing water? Try Big Pine Creek, and the Bearskin State Park Trail is a great hiking trail close by.

This is a 4-5 hour drive from the n/w side of Chicago . . . and *definately* worth it. Some buddies and I go up for a few days every winter and I have to say, this is the best you're going to find without doubling your driving time or hopping on an airplane....

The vertical keeps you challenged unlike the resorts in the U.P. and the rest of the Midwest! Only 3 hrs from Milwaukee!!!
