Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Black River Falls, Wisconsin is a brilliant place to get some rest, and 1.18 Reservoir is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Motel 95 and Campground is a splendid local campground. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Robinson Creek, and if you're here, you could also have a look at delightful 0.94 Reservoir.

After a long day outdoors Best Western Arrowhead Lodge & Suites is a pleasant place to spend a night or two; camping at Alma Center Koa Kampground is always a fine experience. Don't leave 1.18 Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Silver Mound Trail, and Lowe Creek Pond is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. Robinson Creek
 | 12 miles away 1 PHOTO Nice place. Peaceful and relaxing.... ...ed at Fall-Hall Road. If you'd like to see the F-H Glen, it is a 200yard paddle downstream around a bend to the glen. Secure permission to use the F-H Camp trails if you don't want to drag you boat back upstream. If you want to paddle Robinson Creek, a better put in is at the Old County Road I on the North side where there is a State Forest campsite near the ATV trails (permit req'd to camp)on the north side of the bridge. Along the way are several class I (II) riffles and a millpond dam with designated portage on the right. At Kelly Road, Portage to the right of the dam to avoid a sharp drop on the downstream side of the bridge. The rest of the trip includes some class II (III) runs with several unmarked falls of 4-7' which should be portaged. There were a couple of places to play in and, if waterflow was above average, runs that would challenge an intermediate paddler. My 13 yo son and I paddled and dragged our way to the Black River. After over a dozen log jams in the last two miles (and 2 hours) of creek, we camped on a sandbar 1/4 mile upstream of the Robinson Creek inlet. Total... |

Best to do after the snow melts in april through early may. Don't waste your time any other time of the year unless there has been a lot of rain.... |

Mount La Crosse

The Nastar course on Mt. La Crosse seems more difficult than in Beaver Creek, CO. They have a variety of runs and a terrain park.
