There's whitewater on Lost River for all you adrenaline kick people, and if the weather is tremendous, you can go for a hike along the Driveway Butte Trail. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun stuff the area next to Lake of the Woods has to offer. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Lake of the Woods has to offer, you can camp at Rivers Bend Campground. This       lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Ballard Campground; the Boundary Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. For the duration of the warm months highs here at Lake of the Woods reach the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; night lows through the winter for Lake of the Woods tend to be in the 10's. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. The summit of Lake Mountain can be                  observed from Lake of the Woods; you can run the rapids of Methow River. Just can't get enough of the Northern Cascade Range. Pistol Pass is a pleasant location to pop by close by, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Monument Creek Trail.
