You'll need more than a day to look at everything Lake of the Woods has to offer,       you can camp at Rivers Bend Campground. Around Lake of the Woods you don’t get a lot of rain; December is the month that gets the most snow; the driest month is July. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the Northern Cascade Range will keep you coming back time and again. While you're here at Lake of the Woods you can take a hike along the Driveway Butte Trail. Lake of the Woods is close to Pistol Pass which is absolutely worth checking out, and whitewater                  paddling is tremendous on Lost River. During the summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Lake of the Woods. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Lake of the Woods temperatures fall to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Mazama Country Inn is a magnificent site to spend a night or two; going for a hike along the Monument Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood.
