The Baldy Trail offers hiking at its best, and you can run the rapids of Dungeness River. While you're here at Winters Pond, you could also take a look at pretty Marmot Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Lake Creek Trail, and camping is available at Port Angeles Koa Kampground. Throughout the long summer days highs here at Winters Pond reach the 70's; the       nighttime is slightly chillier of course, generally in the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's; nighttime lows at Winters Pond during the winter regularly drop into the 30's. Winters Pond is one of the lakes here in the Olympic Mountains. Do pop by Winters Pond Dam since you're here at Winters Pond; after a long day outdoors Days Inn Port Angeles is a perfect place to spend a night or two. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Winters                  Pond; Little River Trail is a glorious local trail, and camping at Evergreen Motel and Mobile Home is always a wonderful experience. This place rules, just check out all the amusing stuff to do close to Winters Pond. Bagley Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting; Super 8 Port Angeles is a magnificent place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Peabody Heights Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could check out, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Hurricane Ridge Ski Lodge is pretty near. All the water falling down from the sky makes Winters Pond a wet place; most of the rain falls during December while July is generally the driest month. All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the Olympic Mountains will keep you coming back persistently.
