Highs through the wintertime are frequently in the 40's while Windy Lake nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 30's. There is a perfect hiking trail next to Windy Lake called the Annette Lake Trail, and while you're here, you could also visit beautiful Lower Tuscohatchie Lake. Hit the slopes at Alpental in the neighborhood;       North Bend Ranger District is a splendid local forest. And if that's not enough there's heaps more enjoyable things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork, and after a long day outdoors Howard Johnson Snoqualmie/Summit is a great spot to spend a night or two. Just can't get enough of the Northern Cascade Range. You'll find a picturesque lake called Kaleetan Lake near Windy Lake, and                  of course Kulla Kulla Creek is a picturesque stream that is worth going to. So much cool stuff to do here at Windy Lake, too splendid to be true. Windy Lake commonly gets lots of rainfall; most of the rain falls during December while July is commonly the driest month. Dry warm beds await you at Salish Lodge And Spa, and here at Windy Lake you can make out Kaleetan Peak. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Snoqualmie; you can stay the night at West Fork Campground. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll adore Windy Lake. There's whitewater on Pratt River for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and on a fine day you can take a hike along the Mount Defiance Trail. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Windy Lake you can take a hike along the Pratt Lake Trail, and Commonwealth Campground is a good campground nearby.
