This lake is so wonderful. A brilliant close by hotel is Davenport Motel. There's so much to do here at Whittaker Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Porcupine Bay Campground is a wonderful location for that. Whittaker Lake is a location that is pretty dried out usually; December is when you get the most snow here, and the driest of the months is July. Through the summer months at Whittaker Lake temperatures       are generally in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Whittaker Lake.
