So many cool things in the Olympic Mountains, just extraordinary. A nice nearby hotel is Alderbrook Resort And Spa. Throughout the months of summer at Lake West temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Lake West through the winter commonly plunge into the 30's. Life's too short       to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Olympic Mountains. If you need a location to stay Super 8 Motel - Shelton is a pleasant choice, and get your pulse rate up on the nice whitewater of Vance Creek. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake West a wet place; December is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is July. There's whitewater on Skokomish River - South Fork for all you adrenaline junkies; camping is available                  at Lake Cushman Resort. All the outdoors cool stuff close to Lake West will keep you coming back time and again. Lake Cushman Golf Course is a golf course right next door to Lake West, and swing by Dalby Creek it's a tremendous location to visit. The Olympic Mountains scenery is always beautiful. At Lake West you always meet someone from Shelton, and the view of Grisdale Hill is pretty. This lake is so wonderful.
