Walupt Lake really is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. Walupt Lake is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Spring Creek Campground is a perfect place to camp nearby, and there is a pleasant hiking trail nearby called the Pacific Crest Trail - section 24. Chambers Lake Campground is a great local campground, and the summit of Nannie Peak can be seen from Walupt Lake. Just can't get enough of the Northern       Cascade Range. On a splendid day at Walupt Lake you can take a hike along the Lily Basin Trail; Cispus River has a great whitewater paddling spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody nearby loves skiing at White Pass. Lakes? Sure, Two Lakes is close at hand. Paddling on Cowlitz River - Clear Fork is so much fun, and nearby you hit upon the Jordan Creek Trail which is a great hiking trail. And if that's not enough there's plenty more amusing stuff                  to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Not far from Walupt Lake, you'll stumble on Sheep Lake which is a scenic lake; hey, Gotta ski right? Crystal Mountain is a delightful site to do that. This lake is so wonderful. For the period of the summertime months, highs frequently are in the 70's at Walupt Lake with nighttime lows in the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are generally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Walupt Lake are in the 20's. Walupt Lake frequently gets much precipitation; the month with most of the snow is January, and the driest month of the year is July.
