If you come at the right time of year, Skykomish River - North Fork offers some splendid whitewater; there are other places here than Virgin Lake, for example Blanca Lake. Virgin Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Cascade Range. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Cascade Range. San Juan Creek is a glorious       place to go to, and you can stay the night at San Juan Campground. But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Camp Creek Ridge Trail, and don't leave Virgin Lake without first checking out Columbia Glacier. The high level of rainfall makes Virgin Lake a pretty wet place; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. This lake                  is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Virgin Lake has to offer, you can camp at Monte Cristo Campground, and Garland Hot Springs is a wonderful place to take a look at while you're at Virgin Lake. High temperatures at Virgin Lake all through the summer months are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's with temperatures at Virgin Lake dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Lost Creek Ridge Trail is delightful fun, and at Virgin Lake you can see Kyes Peak. Stephens Pass is a very popular ski area close at hand, and there are some good whitewater spots on Rapid River. While you're here at Virgin Lake you can take a hike along the Fire Creek Way.
