    If you like lakes and you're in this part of Washington you can check out Virgin Lake. And that's not all you can do here at Virgin Lake. Near Virgin Lake you locate the Fire Creek Way which is a glorious hiking trail, and San Juan Campground is a great campground nearby. Stay the night at Monte Cristo Campground, and the snow is magnificent at Alpental. Columbia Glacier is something you shouldn't miss if you're here at Virgin Lake.
Virgin Lake is located
 
   in the Northern Cascade Range. For the duration of the months of summer highs here at Virgin Lake reach the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are generally in the 40's while Virgin Lake overnight low temperatures all through the winter are in the 20's. There is a fine hiking trail in close proximity to Virgin Lake called the Camp Creek Ridge Trail, and since you're here, you could stop by San Juan Creek.
 
               This lake is so wonderful. Glide down the rapids of Skykomish River - North Fork in a kayak, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Boulder Lake. Now, you may imagine that's lots but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the Northern Cascade Range. The Lost Creek Ridge Trail is a nice hiking trail close to Virgin Lake, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Stephens Pass. And if that's not sufficient there's a heap more cool things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. If you come at the right time of year, Rapid River offers some brilliant whitewater, and one of the main characteristics of the surroundings of Virgin Lake is Kyes Peak.
This lake is so wonderful. A visit to Garland Hot Springs will fill your soul with splendid feelings, and of course, this is a magnificent neighborhood for people who like lakes, Twin Lakes is a lake close at hand. Virgin Lake is a wet place that gets a large amount of precipitation; November is the wettest month with most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture.
