This lake is so wonderful. Foggy Dew Campground is a glorious local campground, and Loup Loup Ski Bowl is a good local ski area. Any time is a splendid time at Vinegar Lake if you go for the outdoors. Methow River has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot nearby; the       skiing at Echo Valley is fine. So many exciting things in the Northern Cascade Range, just extraordinary. Not far from Vinegar Lake, you'll find Antilon Lake which is a scenic lake, and McCall Basin is a glorious spot. It is very dried up here at Vinegar Lake ordinarily; the month with most of the snow is December while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. During the summer highs here at Vinegar Lake reach the 80's with night lows                  in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and night lows at Vinegar Lake during the wintertime ordinarily plunge into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Bluff Lake Trail is always a fine adventure, and if you need a place to stay Americas Best Value Inn-Winthrop is a good choice. Buckhorn Canyon is a great location to stop by close by, and a splendid nearby hotel is Best Western Lakeside Lodge & Suites. There are nice sites to look at along the Devils Backbone Trailbike Loop Trail, and the peak of Hungry Mountain can be observed from Vinegar Lake. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the Northern Cascade Range. People from Wenatchee love to come to Vinegar Lake; of course South Fork Gold Creek flows through this area.
