Vancouver Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Burnt Bridge Creek flows through this neighborhood, and Quality Inn & Suites is a delightful place to get some rest. If you love the outdoors, you'll adore Vancouver Lake. Jantzen Beach RV Park is a splendid campground nearby, and you can run the rapids of Lewis River - East Fork. Vancouver Lake is not the only place close by, Curtis Lake is a close by lake, and you'll meet a lot of folks from

All the water falling down from the sky makes Vancouver Lake a wet place; most of the rain falls through December, and July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Near Vancouver Lake you locate a golf course called Pine Crest Golf Course, unsurprisingly you could also take a look at Round Lake since you're here; it's not far at all.

80's; the overnight is slightly chillier of course, regularly in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's; night lows in the 30's for Vancouver Lake. Why not explore a swamp like Buckmire Slough if you're here at Vancouver Lake, and Kalama River is a pleasant whitewater spot close by.

Sturgeon Lake is a GREAT place to fish at on Sauvie Island. For exsample, There are WARM WATER SPECIES like: CATFISH, BASS, PANFISH, PERCH, WALLEYE & LOT MORE! There are COLD WATER SPECIES in the lake too, like: Trout. It is VERY BEAUTIFUL ESPECALLY IN FALL.... |

*WARNING* Lewisville Pk to DayBreak on July 2, 2009. Water very low and very rocky using tubes and raft. Had to get out often and dislodge from rocks or walk over river rock. Had to walk from 1/4 sign to Daybreak all the way out and was VERY UNHAPPY. Walk was actually about a mile to parking area over river rock and then very narrow trail. Trails not marked if you have to get out and walk because water was TOO low (only a few inches deep). Would have appreciated uptodate info at booth at Lewisville entrance. Was told rafting was fine to Daybreak. Trip took 5.5 hours and was told it would take 2.5.... |

Don't Go all the way to wilsonville for a hotel. if you head in towards portland on the 26, there are plenty of hotels from government camp to welches. Personally if you're going to a lake in the mountains you should be CAMPING. And there are plenty of sites to do so, both reserved and not. There are great hiking trails and it's also full of fish and crawdads. Boating is a must if possible.... |
