If you came to camp South Skookum Lake Campground is a brilliant place to do that, and if you need a spot to stay Golden Spur Motor Inn is a tremendous choice. At Vances Lake all through the summer months highs are in the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's; night lows in the 10's for Vances Lake. Going for a hike on the Chipmunk Rapids       National Recreation Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and the sight of beautiful No Name Peak is fine. This lake is so wonderful. There are wonderful sites to discover along the Hanna Flast Nature Trail, and No Name Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things near Vances Lake. There's so much to do here at Vances Lake that you need to camp here for a while, No Name Lake Campground is a tremendous location                  for that, and Newport City Inn is a great place to get some rest. The yearly rain here at Vances Lake is about average; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow; the driest month of the year is July.
