Good hiking is available along the Chipmunk Rapids National Recreation Trail, and a great vista of charming No Name Peak is available. This lake is so wonderful. Really glorious skiing awaits you at Mt. Spokane; Deer Springs is always fun to check out. The warmest time of the year at Vances Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. Highs through the winter are commonly in the 30's; after the sun is down during

| | the wintertime temperatures at Vances Lake sink into the 10's. The yearly precipitation here at Vances Lake is about average; most of the snow falls throughout December, and July is when it's the driest. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Vances Lake; Hanna Flast Nature Trail is a pleasant local trail, and a lovely lake like Mystic Lake is a nice location to visit. why not stop at No Name Lake next to Vances Lake; if you came to camp Bear Paw Camp & Retreat Center is a good site to do that. Paddling on Priest River is so much fun. There's so much to do here at Vances Lake that you need to camp here for a while, No Name Lake Campground is a great place for that.
