Upper Jefferson Lake gets much water; all through the month of December you get the most rain around here, and July is when it's the driest. A good place to camp here at Upper Jefferson Lake is Lilliwaup Creek Campground, and if you need a site to stay Alderbrook Resort and Spa is a fine choice. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Hamma Hamma River offers some great whitewater.

| | Mountains. During your trip to Upper Jefferson Lake you'll meet some people from Shelton for sure, and you're probably into lakes, Goober Pond is one of those nearby. If you want a magnificent time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Upper Jefferson Lake. Super 8 Shelton is a tremendous site to get some rest; camping is available at Lena Creek Campground.

at its best, and there are some perfect whitewater spots on Jefferson Creek. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Upper Jefferson Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's
while the cold winter nights at Upper Jefferson Lake are in the 30's. Be careful coming to the Olympic Mountains, you might not ever wanna return back home again. There's magnificent hiking along the Royal Creek Trail, and if you've
had enough of Upper Jefferson Lake, Jefferson Lake is nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. It's a perfect idea to go to Maple Creek, it's right next door to Upper Jefferson Lake; brilliant hiking is available along the Mount Jupiter Trail.

Upper Elk Lake
 | It's been about 6yrs. since I was last at upper Elk Lake,It was my most favorite place to camp. If you were lucky, and got the only camp site on the lake,the lake was yours. The water was so crystal clear, you could almost see the bottom. The fishing was't bad either. There are plenty of trails and creeks to explore.Including Jefferson creek, which will lead you to lower Elk Lake. My children loved this spot as much as I. There was also a rope swing on the other side of the lake.It was heaven. My youngest daughter traveled back to the lake this summer (2008). She says the lake is destroyed, with water plants and logs,she says the water is no longer clear. This makes me sad, I may just have to plan a trip to see for myself.... |

| This river is only very rough in the winter/spring time, so unless you're very good don't ride the rapids in the winter/spring. The rest of the year it's about like the flaming geyser river with rapids lots of shallow rocks.... |

I have been swimming at this lake since i was a baby girl!!!...This is mainly a private lake for people who have houses on it. There is a boat launch which is very small and to the point. :) There is also a park for employees of a certain company which I forget the name of now. This lake is very clean and refreshing. It is great for boats and inter tubing and swimming all the same :) Love this Lake!!...THERE IS A PUBLIC AREA AT THIS PARK,BOATING SWIM AND PICNIC AREA... |
