     Twin Lakes is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and going for a hike on the Daisy Trail is always a pleasant adventure. Twin Lakes Reservoir is generally a reasonably dried up spot; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow, and October meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Twin Lakes Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Hidden Beach Campground is a great location for  
   that, and a tremendous place for whitewater paddling is Sherman Creek.
Twin Lakes Reservoir is good enough to spend more than a day at, Rocky Point Campground is a good local campground, and a lake close by is North Twin Lake. Looking for a tremendous visit? Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area is pretty in close proximity to Twin Lakes Reservoir, and you can always enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Carson Beach. Through the long summer days at Twin Lakes
 
               Reservoir highs are mostly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Twin Lakes Reservoir sink into the 10's.
Now, you may believe that's a load but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Twin Lakes Reservoir. Some nearby water includes Carson Creek, and you can go for a hike on the White Mountain Trail.

Interesting to see this area via google satelitte...in 1892 my paternal grandfather purchased 95.5 acres along the river at the China Bend area from the govt. It must have been repurchased by the Bureau of Reclamation when the Dam was being considered. Glad it's still beautiful....
