Highs through the wintertime are regularly in the 40's with temperatures at Twin Lakes dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. There's always Bennettsen Lake Dam to visit near Twin Lakes, and camping is available at Snooze Junction       RV Park. Just can't get enough of the Olympic Mountains. If you need a site to stay Super 8 Shelton is a wonderful choice. This is a great vicinity for people who like lakes. Lake Bennettsen is a lake in the neighborhood; dry warm beds await you at Alderbrook Resort and Spa. While you're here at Twin Lakes you will meet lots of folks from nearby Shelton; if you come at the right time of year, Duckabush River offers some fine whitewater. And that's not                  everything you can do here in the Olympic Mountains. You're in all probability interested in lakes, Bennettsen Lake is one of those close by, and do take a hike on the Mount Jupiter Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Dosewallips River, and if you came for an overnight stay Park Place On Hood Canal is a great spot to camp. This lake is located in the wonderful Olympic Mountains.
